In 2015, my husband (a master craftsman) and I decided to turn our passion for woodworking into a public venture, establishing Horstman Wood Shop and More, now known as Daisy Hill Country Mercantile. Taking great pride in our work and attention to detail, we thrive on creating high-quality wood products.

What started as a hobby selling wooden yard games has evolved into a full-time business offering a wide array of unique home decor items.

We also have a health & wellness product line. Crafted with love in small batches, this product is bursting with charm and care. HOW WE GOT OUR NAME

 When we first purchased our charming house nestled atop a scenic hill, little did we know that the property came with an unexpected but delightful resident - a friendly and curious deer we affectionately named Daisy. From the moment we moved in, Daisy made her presence known, gracefully wandering into our lives and capturing our hearts with her gentle demeanor. She quickly became a constant companion, faithfully following us around the property as we went about our daily routines, her soft brown eyes filled with trust and warmth. As the seasons changed, Daisy introduced us to her adorable fawns, and together they formed a delightful family that brought joy and wonder to our hilltop haven. Inspired by the magical connection we formed with Daisy and her offspring, we decided to name our budding venture Daisy Hill Country Mercantile, a tribute to the enchanting creature who taught us the true meaning of embracing nature's gifts and finding beauty in the simplest of moments. Today, as our business flourishes, we carry the spirit of Daisy with us, infusing our products and services with the same warmth, authenticity, and love for the natural world that she embodies.
